Ghanaian Gospel Singer, Faffa, launches debut video for 2019, titled “Kpegbadza”, an Ewe parlance which connotes a ‘Solid Rock’, meaning ‘Tesa’ in Ga, ‘Obotantim’ in Akan, ‘Dussi May Girma’ in Hausa.

“Kpegbadza” is an old folkloric Ewe song she singer has recoined with more vibrant lyrics to fit urban gospel appeal. The official video directed by Kofi Awuah was produced by the legendary Ghanaian instrumentalist, Kwame Yeboah.

She drops the official video for TV on Monday, February 4th on Joy Prime TV at 2:00pm while she embarks on her media promotional tour for the project.

In Kpegbadza she says “Stone rains may fall, Storms may blow, Earth may quake, Fires may fall like rain. But once I dwell on the Rock, I will fear nothing”.

“Kpegbadza” is one of the singles of her upcoming 3rd album. The audio for the song was released in January 2019. She is very optimistic of entering the VGMAs with the 3rd album.

Her ‘Purpose Song’ grabbed two awards out of 5 categories in the NGMA 2018 for ‘Best Gospel Video’ and ‘Corporate Song of the Year’. “Make Me Wanna” also won ‘Best Hiphop song’ in the NGMA 2017.

Faffa also has other songs like ‘Ewo Koe Nye Mawu’, ‘Mevalo’. She joins the league of Eweland treasure songbirds such as Bella Bellow and Angelique Kidjo, as she works her way up the music ladder.
