Viewers were positively thrilled by the theatrical work of comedy and the spectacular display of allegorical masterpiece delivered by the cast on the 1st and 2nd of October 2016, at the Muson Centre, Onikan in Lagos.
The play ‘Grip Am’ illustrates in metaphor the existing situation in Nigeria; it visualises the uncertainty, untold hardship and household drama faced by the average, hardworking Nigerian.
Grip Am! is a humorous reminder of the value and power of the individual and about conjugal strife, supernatural opportunity, and revenge.
It depicts the difficulties in a poor farming household being compounded by external factors, when an unexpected source provides opportunity, but vengeance and retribution are the order of the day.
A timely play, ‘Grip Am’ therefore, is a family-friendly, humorous reminder of the value and power of the individual.
