Some people just find themselves in the spotlight, unprepared and undeserving. Some other people worked their asses off to get there and while there, lift other people up. Oprah Winfrey is one of the later!
The 75th Golden Globe Awards honouring the best in film and American television of 2017 was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hill, California last night, January 7 and talk show host, actress, produce, and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey was the recipient of the Cecli B. Demille Award. This has made her the first black woman honoured with the award.
In her speech ‘A new day on the horizon’ in the show themed ’empowerment for women’, the TV star talked about sexual predators, women who endured abuse and assault, and a lot of other deep issues.
