Drake, 29, has released his highly anticipated short film titled “Please Forgive Me”.
The 23-minute video was reportedly inspired by his chart-topping 2016 album, Views.
According to Billboard, the visuals were initially scheduled to be released on Friday, September 30, but was released on Apple Music at 1 A.M Eastern Time on Monday morning, September 26.
In the 23-minute film, Drake played the lead role while other featured co-stars included Popcaan, Fanny Neguesha, Soni Chidiebere and Kyla Reid.
“Please Forgive Me” was filmed in one week this July. It was shot in Soweto township in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“Please Forgive Me” Was Directed By Anthony Mandler
The short film was directed by music video director, Anthony Mandler, who also directed Drake’s videos for “Over,” “Miss Me” and “Fancy”.
Anthony Mandler can also be credited with the videos for: Jay Z‘s “Holy Grail,” “Run This Town,” “Death of Autotune”; Nicki Minaj’s “Starships”; and Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” “Only Girl in the World,” and “Diamonds”.
“Please Forgive Me” was co-written by Anthony Mandler and Apple Music Head of Content Larry Jackson. Jackson produced the short film.

Sources revealed the film will be perpetually exclusive to Apple Music.
