He further went on to state that the music industry in Ghana is like a government which changes faces from time to time. Gradually, he said, the current faces in the industry will fade away and give rise to a new generation of talents. With the exclusion of one-hit wonders, some talented acts have risen to stardom and some people have wondered where they have been all this while. The Monarchy Mixtape Series therefore seeks to highlight the works of upcoming artistes who are gearing up to take the realm from the current breed of music superstars. This way, the public eye and ear is opened to the prospective future of the Ghanaian music industry.
