One of the trending news on Monday has been about a forensic audit conducted by FIFA on the Ghana Football Association (GFA), which found no acts corruption or financial impropriety on Kwesi Nyantakyi during his tenure.
Reports suggest that an audit conducted on the orders of FIFA six months ago also cleared members of the Executive Committee of the GFA of any acts of malfeasance.
The auditing officials, who spent about one month in Ghana investigating the financial affairs of the federation, discovered that neither corruption nor embezzlement took place at the GFA.
The audit report concluded that the Ghana FA has only ‘perception issues’ to deal with since media reports of corruption within the federation are ‘wide off the mark’, the report said.
However, the FIFA auditors recommended that the slim accounts office staff must be boosted while modern accountancy software used by some federations like the South African FA must be acquired by the Ghana FA to ease the workload.
👉🏿 The Nyantakyi admin was never at risk of being found guilty by auditors, anyway. Why?
👉🏿 In recent yrs, they’ve always said that they are not corrupt due to the fact that their accounts are audited annually by KPMG, who’ve always given them a 👍🏿. 3/5

👉🏿 There is something we must remember, however.
Mr Nyantakyi was NOT banned for life by life because of corruption or because of breach of finances.
He was banned due to ethics breaches.
These two are very different things altogether. 5/5.

Ghanaian sports journalism, Gary Al-Smith seems to be contesting the veracity of the report, which was first published by Ghanasoccernet.com, believed to be pro-Nyantakyi.
I’ve heard reports that Fifa have cleared the GFA of all charges relating to financial breaches in the Kwesi Nyantakyi yrs.
Few facts:
– Fifa have a site, where every serious official comms is placed. If said report, put out by Ghanasoccernet, is true, trust Fifa will publish. pic.twitter.com/igS2vDIHB0

Meanwhile, another report from GHwired.com says amember of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee, Naa Odofoley Nortey has rubbished claims the Committee has received the forensic audit report conducted by the world football governing body into the Kwesi Nyantakyi’s led administration.
