On 21st September, 2019 – bright lights, an eager audience and great music filled up the premises of the BBNZ Live Bar (Keta Close) as an event earmarked for success was launched. The ingenious event dubbed ‘Do It For the Culture’ was brought to you by DCLeakers
The intent of this event is to broaden the scope of attendees regarding the various genre of music brewed in Ghana and the maiden edition did precisely that as it focused on promoting music made in Ghana, in its entirety.
To further sell the concept of promoting ‘Ghana’, available for every guest in attendance was locally made beverages as well as snacks such as palm wine, sobolo and ‘nkate cake’, to name a few.
The night was idyllic and the enraptured crowd cheered performers on one after the other; relishing in every moment.
In as much as it was a night for music made in Ghana, it also served as an avenue for upcoming artistes to showcase and sell their act/themselves.
‘Do it For the Culture’ has three main objectives and they are; to promote Ghanaian-made music, to give underground acts the avenue to exhibit their talent and primarily, to promote the Ghanaian music culture.
These objectives were duly followed at the maiden edition of this initiative and is expected to grow and become better as the years go buy.
