While singing about not wanting to be a player anymore on his 2017 monster hit, “Fall”, Davido name-dropped the world’s most popular footballer (“‘Cause my guys call me Cristiano/ Mr Ronaldo”) and in return, got a follow back on Instagram from the Real Madrid star.
Well, according to Davido, both of them are now friends — although they haven’t actually met — and he would really love to collaborate with him at some point in the future.
Speaking with Goal about his relationship with Ronaldo, Dabodp said:
“Yeah, that’s my friend but I haven’t met him — he’s busy and I’m busy as well. I haven’t had a chance to just get up and go because he be moving, they have games.”
About potentially working with him, he continued:
“I think I’d do a video with him but I wouldn’t say it’ll be a music video. I’m trying to think of a concept where both of our worlds could meet.”
For the rest of the interview, he spoke about Victor Moses introducing him to the Chelsea team in 2016, and declared his support for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
