Set to embark on a series of live concerts across the U.S eastern seaboard next month, commencing with South Carolina on November 21. Recording artiste Bramma has been working assiduously on his debut album, to be promoted using the aforementioned platforms.

Titled ‘Rugged and Deadly’ the forthcoming album comprising fourteen tracks will feature some of the most noted luminaries in Reggae and Dancehall including Luciano, Anthony B, Morgan Heritage, I-Octane, Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor and Zagga. Distribution of the analects comes courtesy of VPal Music.

Executively produced by Riddim Force Records, the compilation boast a stellar array of producers with contribution from Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, Emanuel ‘German’ Schirmer, DJ Nicco, DJ Smurf, TuchPoint and Bramma’s GGOD Records.

Bramma says the respective producers were handpicked by his team because he doesn’t want all his records to have a similar sound. Hence, with this collective everyone would bring their attributes and different dynamics to the project. Despite being a hardcore dancehall artiste the ‘Cha Cha Boy’ hit-maker disclosed that the album is exclusively roots, rock, reggae and shared his reason for this approach.

“I am getting older now and that hardcore dancehall is all good but I want to do more music that has longevity and messages that can educate and uplift the youths, which will improve the society on a whole. How would it look to see me as an artiste in my senior years performing this derogatory music for the kids? Understand I will still do music for the streets but that type of music is not appropriate for all audiences and my ultimate aim aside from being successful is to be a well-rounded entertainer.” – Bramma exclaimed.

He continued, “I am excited for my fans to hear this side of me because they will get to hear me addressing a lot of topics I generally don’t sing about like relationship, life struggles, heartache and some personal challenges”.

Last weekend Bramma enlisted the directorial services of Icey Jace Film Factory to shoot the video for the lead single ‘Belly Of The Beast’, slated for release on October 21 with the official video premiering the following week. The visual was shot in Kingston throughout Ja Town, Ackee Walk and its environs.

Though no official release date has been announced for the ‘Rugged and Deadly’ album, Bramma intimates it should be out before the end of the year.
