Founder of Africa 1 Media & CQ Legal, Cynthia Quarcoo, has been announced Keynote Speaker for the 2nd Edition of the Annual Women CEOs Summit.

The 2nd Edition of the Annual Women CEOs Summit organized by WomanRising; a flagship network of The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE) will open on the 9th of November at Tomriek Hotel with the Conference Keynote delivered by an outstanding woman; a Lawyer, an Entrepreneur, a Mother, a Mentor and a Survivor; Ms. Cynthia Quarcoo. With the summit theme; The Go To Woman; becoming a household name; Ms Quarcoo will touch on the subject of Business Law and Corporate Governance as essential tools for building a thriving world class business with a recognizable brand.

Ms Cynthia Quarcoo is a legal practitioner with extensive experience as a Corporate and Finance lawyer in Ghana and the United Kingdom. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of CQ Legal and Consulting, where she currently heads the Banking and finance, Energy/Power and Infrastructure Practices. Ms Quarcoo has over 15 years’ experience representing institutional clients. She is an experienced corporate/commercial and finance lawyer with specialization in the energy, financial and infrastructure sectors. An economics and business graduate, Cynthia’s early career as an Analyst at PriceWaterHouse Coopers has strengthened her ability to provide clients with commercially sound legal advice.

In its 2nd year, the Women CEOs Summit brings together emerging and established women entrepreneurs, professional women and business executives aspiring for global business leadership and economic dominance. This year, the theme is The Go To Woman, Becoming a Household Brand and it will feature seasoned speakers and panelists with varied experiences in law, branding, media, business, Human Resource, Public Relations, Finance and Investments.

More About Speaker – Cynthia Quarcoo

Cynthia has over 15 years’ experience representing institutional clients. She is an experienced corporate/commercial and finance lawyer with specialization in the energy, financial and infrastructure sectors. An economics and business graduate, Cynthia’s early career as an Analyst at PriceWaterHouse Coopers has strengthened her ability to provide clients with commercially sound legal advice.

An expert in advising firms setting up in emerging markets in Africa, she has a deep knowledge of international trade and customs law. Her experience ranges from establishing businesses and consultancies, to working with multinational firms conducting cross-border mergers, acquisitions, financing and refinancing. She also specializes in insolvency and corporate restructuring, having advised PwC on the liquidation of Ghana Airways in 2005.

Her achievements include, recognition by Chambers Global and Legal 500 as a leading lawyer within the field of ‘General Business Law (Ghana)’. (2009 – 2012 editions) and recognition as a leading lawyer by IFLR 1000. She sits on the Advisory Board of Times of Africa. She is a Contributor to the World Bank’s flagship “Doing Business Project” (2007-2017), Investment Guide to Sub-Saharan Africa: ‘What Chinese Investors Need to Know’ 2011 and The International Trade Centre (Joint WTO and UN Agency), Model Contracts for Small Firms: Legal Guidance for Doing International Business 2010.
