“Your priorities are where you spend your time. You can say people are the priority, but if you’re not spending at least half your time there, it’s not a priority.”
Today’s talent imperative is less about recruiting and more about internally grooming blended showbiz professionals. The passion for youth and young ones are being “killed” due to the unavailability of nurturing persons who will scout, groom and protect the talents of the younger ones.
Some innovative persons came together to establish Positive Drive High School network that scouts, grooms and protect talents ranging from Comedy, Dance, singing and Modeling in high schools across Ghana and help solve the issue of unemployment canker in the country. The drive who’s got some sponsors including Salma Mumin, an Actress and Entrepreneur.
You can’t build a great business without nurturing from within. Meet Nigerian Actress Funke Akindele Bello, producer of Jenifa’s diary using this phenomena has achieved greater heights as grooming and helping to nurture the talents of the cast has made them independent of unemployment and are open to other opportunities. If all celebrities be like her, the entertainment industry would have been in a stabilized position and not in its “dying” state.
Kudos to Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Samini, El, Bullet, Stonebwoy and all other celebrities who nurture others to share in their glory and fame. However, to all others who fail to nurture talents but capitalize on their fame to be destructive, you are empowered and challenged to desist from the greed and help put a smile on the faces of others.
Groom a talent today to be successfully established.
