Ghanaian born producer Eric “Coptic” Matlock just inked a music distribution deal for his company Brooklyn Bridge Entertainment with United States distributor, eOne Music.
Coptic who already has Multi-Platinum production under his belt has been looking for the right distributor to release African inspired content to the world and he has finally found a home with eOne.
eOne is a global leader in independent content ownership and distribution in North America and partners with Universal Music Group for European distribution. The Game, DJ Drama, Ashanti and Brian McKnight are a few of the artists currently distributed by eOne.
All though Coptic has a few projects lined up already for the new partnership, he is excited to begin listening for the next big African artists.
Coptic says “I always talk about how African artists need to be given the right opportunities and paid properly for their work, this is one of the necessary steps to achieve such a dream. This will give the African artist the opportunity to be promoted and marketed by a US based branding powerhouse and learn the business of music.”
A statement from eOne states “We are truly excited to be able to give this opportunity to Coptic to showcase the best talent out of Africa. As the music marketplace is expanding globally, we are looking forward to delivering the diverse content that is currently coming out of Africa.”
