2017 has been a busy year for almost every single individual in all circles of life. We those who find ourselves under the umbrella of the creative industry can attest to the fact that, as far as the timeline, events, hardships, disappointments, emotional / mental confusions, stress issues, pressures, sleepless nights and so on and so forth. Some few talented promising artists took advantage under year of review to put their A game on, attract audience, put up an outstanding brand married with both quality audio & visuals, and looping into the hearts of most music lovers across the length and breadth of the country. The difference between those who can make a living in the music industry from those who can’t is the ability to enjoy the benefits even when things doesn’t work out as planned from the beginning yet taking the job serious. In reality, working music is very hard work and it’s very important to maintain is some level of professionalism.

Beeniewords.com has compiled a list of 10 super talented artists who broke out in the course of  2017. Before i proceed, i would like to acknowledge the fact that, these artists are not just talented and promising. They poses the qualities of smartness, critical, creative & digital thinking, business orientated and ready for the music market. First two acts on my list are Lynx Entertainments signees;

1. Kwame  Eugene

He has been able to release three faddish songs back to back (Ebeyeyie, Boom Bang Bang & Angela)and all these songs has taken over the airwaves. There’s is no single kindergartener who does not know Kwame Eugene is fwith his club banger  and nation athem at the moment “Angela”.

Somewhere 12 September 2017, the official video for “Angela” was released, guess what? the video has already clocked over 2 million views with the span of 4 months. Some of our top notch acts sometimes find it very challenging to reach such viewership. He has mounted on almost all the big platforms in Ghana in less than a year.

2. KiDi

His head gets swollen anytime he is been addressed as the ladies man. I honestly think, he has a serious competition with King Promise, other precocity; yet KiDi is doing awesome, with his style of music “Odo” in particular.

He has 2 crowd-pleasing songs alongside other wonderful joints but any time he performs “Say you love” and “Odo” you see fans particularly ladies jamming to it. Looks as if they really connect with the song based on the concept of the song.

3. Ebony

If i am not been bias, the 90s bad girl with her alluring voice alongside her teasing fashion sense is currently enjoying the fruit of her hard work and reigning as the new female songstress with 5 hit songs from the likes of “Kupe, sponsor, dancefloor, poison and hustle). I must commend her management team for their technicalities and strategic means of releasing their music materials.

She is full of surprises as well as, she has all the attacking and defensive mechanisms to spark a well planned controversy attracting all the needed attention from every music lover. 2017 has definitely been a magical year for the songstress and she is taking Ghana music to another level.

4. King Promise

Undeniably, everything about him is classic. In fact it is unquestionable he is a heart-warming singer / songwriter who mastered the craft of creating soothing and refreshing melodies and playing around with love words. His musical composition is so on point, on can gladly say, Ghana music is safe in his hands.

The young champ deserves more recognition.

5. Kurl Songx

After being crowned as the over all winner of MTN hit maker 2015, Kurl served Ghanaians with one of the most controversial songs of the year “Jennifer Lomotey”. The song brought about lots of heated arguments between the people of Krobo and management of Songx based on a line in Sarkodie’s rap.

6. Patapaa

He shot to fame when his song “One Corner” went viral on social media with it’s accompanied customized dance. The supposed “one corner” song / dance gave Patapaa the hype, fame and platforms to showcase what he got to offer.  His song was one of the most searched songs in Nigeria.

7. Kelvyn Boy

Currently signed to Burniton Music Group, Kelvyn Boy is growing to become a house hold name and he has managed to record one of the pleasing jams in the country featuring the Bhimnation president Stonebwoy.

He is fortunate enough to have been featured on Stonebwoy’s Epistles Of Mama album because it will expose him to the international music market furthermore the album stands tall at competing with other well sourced classic albums at the Grammy’s next musical year. Kelvyn is on his way to greatness.

8. Fancy Gadam

As to how he did it, i don’t have the right words to explain but the young champ is apparently the only young upcoming act with almost entire population of Northerb part of Ghana supporting him. And Northern region is the biggest region in the whole Ghana. He won “discovery of the year” at this year’s Ghana Music awards.

He is going to ravel places.

9. Kwesi Arthur

When it comes to unleashing bars, this guy is a beast, his talent is beyond amazing. He does not look like someone who is ever going to stop what he is good at.

10. B4Bonah

Immediately he featured African rap king, Sarkodie on his “Dear God” single, it became an instant hit. He has had quite an amazing year.
