After breaking boundaries for six months, entertainment event organisers, Ark Events Management last weekend decided to show their entry success with the launch of foundation called Ark Foundation.

This was done when the team paid a visit to the Dzorwulu Special School and donated some items.

The CEO of Ark Events Management, Jerry Afful explained their effort saying, “ In as much as we are into entertainment and event, we believe that giving back to society is also important hence the birth of Ark Foundation.”

“Our aim is to do more of these things and bring entertainment to the doorstep of the marginalised in the society.”

He continued, “This step is to celebrate with kids who are not able to easily connect society with normal people. These kids are usually indoors. Ark events objective is to connect with these kids like we connect with other kids.

Items donated to the Dzorwulu Special School included Bags of rice, Bags of sugar, Cloths, Drinks, Water estimated to an amount of 6,500 Ghana cedis.

Director of the school, Mr Tetteh thanked the group for their gesture and asked that others especially those in the entertainment fraternity should follow suit.

“It is with great pleasure that we accept these gifts, not because of the items but because of the sector it is coming from. One of the things that keep the children excited is when there is some sort of entertainment so having people from that field to remember us and come, it is fair that we appreciate them.

“I urge others to follow examples like this and not wait for only the festive season to show up, from time to time, they should check up on us. These children are ours and they deserve the love that any other normal child deserves.”

Talking about their experience so far since they came into the entertainment scene, Jerry said, “it has been wonderful but more works need to be done, in terms of equipment and that gap is where we want to fill. We are in to make a difference and very soon Ghanaians will have a different feel when it comes to events organising and supplying logistics. So far we have worked with Manifest, Stonebwoy, EIB Network etc and co and I must say it has been great.”

Ark Event will be handling this years 3 Music Awards.
