Industry Nite hosted Aquila Records’ golden boy, Airboy to undoubtedly the most electrifying edition of their weekly event this year so far, as he released his first body of work ever, the Vibes EP.

The event which happened at the New Afrika Shrine and was televised live on HipTV, kicked off with performances from several upcoming artistes before ravemaking acts like Ichaba, Sheun Naturals, Wale Turner, Xbusta, Yonda, Terry Apala, Junior Boy, Mo Blow, Beverly, Skiibii and LAX got on stage to thrill the fans.

Airboy came on stage eventually, driven into the light by a miniature ‘Danfo’ bus, to the awe of the awaiting audience, starting his line up with his monster hit, Ayepo. He then went on to perform other songs from the EP, including Leso, Nawo Nawo, Booty Bounce and Vibes.

The highlights of Airboy’s performance was when Que Peller’s road manager, Adigun Aro got on stage to propose to his girlfriend while he was performing Iyawo, and when his parents got on stage with him just before he performed Mummy. The very emotional atmosphere saw him and his Mum hug and shed tears of joy for several minutes before she got a microphone and rained prayers on him on stage.

Airboy took a break midway as Aquila new solider Beezy came on stage to deliver his new wave making song Capable, while Airboy brought on his fellow Aquila soldiers Base One and Que Peller later on to do their hit collaboration Showcase. Base One mesmerized the audience with an interesting line up made up of Werey Re, Eran, Makana and Gbefun alongside Small Doctor, with World Record Holder Pinkie Debbie coming on stage to dance for him, while Que Peller also dazzled with Water, Carolina and Eleniyan.

Other artistes who graced the stage after Airboy’s performance are Small Doctor and Pepenazi. The night was brought to a close by a speech from the Aquila Records CEO, Shina Peller.

Airboy was styled for the night by Adedeji Riliwan Bamidele of StyledByReus, supported by The Kinetics Band. His performance was choreographed by Awanjo Dancers.

The Vibes EP is a 7 tracker with songs; Vibes, Leso, Ayepo Remix ft. Burna Boy, Nawo Nawo, Iyawo, Booty Bounce and Mummy. It is available for sale on www.aquilarecordsng.com and Music Plus, Tecno Boom and other online platforms. The album can also be downloaded by texting 258 to 5900 on MTN. It is distributed by Mixtape Factory.
