Co-founder of Afro Nation, SMADE has donated assorted items to the Teshie Children’s Home as part of his birthday celebration.
The items which were donated under The SMADE Foundation brand, included drinks, water, bags of rice, toiletries, biscuits and cash.
Addressing the staff and children of the Home, SMADE explained that celebrating his birthday with less privileged children has been a long standing tradition for him. “I do this every year. Although I am not home, doing this in Ghana is not any different; the feeling is the same.”
He further noted “Being with the children today helped me to realise that we need to be grateful even for the little things. Being in the position to help others is something I will never take for granted.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the Home, Mrs Janet Parker, Owner of the Home expressed gratitude to The SMADE Foundation for the kind gesture.
The delighted looking children also sung a birthday song for SMADE.
The Teshie Orphanage provides shelter and homely atmosphere for children. The Home currently houses thirty children between the ages of eight to twenty two years.
