Africa Digital Awards (ADA) organized by ThirdEye Media which launched the Ghana’s edition on Friday March 8, 2019   in collaboration with Stanbic Bank’s Business Incubator at Stanbic Heights, Airport, Accra, opens its nomination on Monday May 6,2019 to allow individuals and companies to file for nominations.

The scheme which seeks to award and recognize any individual or company that uses the digital space to impact into the society, targets personals and companies in the Media, Music ,Telecom, Finance, education, government and E- commerce platforms.

In an interview with the founder and CEO, Foster Sam  he said  that, “There will be couple of events and activities that we will organize to celebrate and recognize digital players in Ghana that are leveraging on digital innovations and inventions to impact society positively. There will be a Digital Summit and a corporate e-sports event among other activities before the main awards.

“The awards through strategic partners would also train about 1 million youth in various digital skills and about 500,000 women in Digital Finance to make them employable as well as use technologies in transacting business.”He added.

Dr Thomas Mensah the world renowned fibre optics inventor, who was the chairman for the launch said the Awards would travel to Countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and other African countries before the PanAfrican event in an African City.

ADA has seven technology experts who are: Dr Thomas Owusu Mensah world renowned Fiber optics inventor, Foster Awintiti Akugri,Business Incubation, Alice K Mensah, George Kwabena Appiah Regina Honu, Emmanuel Gamor CEO of KANEA and Manny Bortey.

The Africa Digital Awards Ghana edition is slated for 27th – 29th June 2019 with activities such as Ghana’s first Digital Summit, Corporate e-league and the Awards Night.
