Adele has confirmed, officially, that she is now a married woman.
The speculation about her status started at the last Grammys, after she addressed her longtime partner Simon Konecki as her ‘husband’ but without giving details on when they got married.
Yesterday, at her concert in Brisbane, Australia, the Hello singer set the records straight while introducing her ballad Someone Like You, saying that she is “married now.”
She said;
“I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record, because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth and I am addicted to that feeling.
Obviously I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person,” said the multi-award winning singer who shares a 4-year-old son Angelo with Simon.
The multi-award winning singer and Simon have been together for five years now.The singer had previously suffered a painful breakup that inspired her hit songs. But she got over it after she met Simon, and in her interview with 60 Minutes Australia, she spoke about being in love with Simon and how this has changed her music.She said: “Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that’s so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now.
That’s what made me write about everything I’ve ever done, because I’ve got his love.”
