Yesterday, Sunday April 8th is a day many movie lovers will not forget in a hurry.
Accelerate TV, the youth-friendly platform that prides itself in entertaining, educating and empowering youths, treated Lagosians to a day out with Hollywood star, John Boyega for the viewing of Pacific Rim Uprising, a movie he co-produced and featured in.
It was an evening of glitz, glam and magic as some of Nigeria’s finest and high-profile celebrities were also there to view the movie.
Celebrities like D’banj, Dr Sid, Toni Tones, Stephanie Coker and others were also present.
The screening was followed by a Q&A session with the British-Nigerian star, hosted by video director and film-maker, Kemi Adetiba, where he shared stories about his early days as an actor and some of his plans for the Nigerian movie industry.
Our favourite part of the night was when he was asked about his relationship status. His negative reply was received with a thunderous uproar of applause from the ladies who screamed in excitement as the news meant that there’s still hope for one of them to become the future Mrs Boyega.
