Want that rock-hard abs that would have ladies swooning over you and the guys greening with envy? Here is a quick guide from Daniel Shoneye, who owns one of the most photographed and highly circulated abs on the Internet!

<

Born to a Jamaican mother and a Nigerian father, Daniel is one half of the ‘Hot Shoneye Twins’. He is a model and also a Personal Trainer when he can. He also produces online programs for clients, fitness photos, and events promo work and fitness videos.

“I developed a passion for fitness and training and I really liked the results, which motivated me to always push harder and strive for more. A lot of the jobs that came as a result of my fitness always pushed me to want to look better and better.”

According to Daniel, she started approximately 7 years ago. He read a lot online and tried out a lot of different exercises in the gym. He is truly a testament to the fact that practice makes perfect!

So now how does he do it? You can do it too, check out his quick guide!!!

The exercise regimen

I usually do strength training 6 times a week and cardio on 1 day. Strength training is a type of physical exercise specializing in the use of resistance to induce muscular contraction, which builds the strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles.

Cardio exercise raises your heart rate through repetitive movements of your arms and legs. This incorporates a variety of aerobic exercises, which increase your breathing rate along with your heart rate to channel more oxygen to your hard-working muscles.

Cardio choices include bicycling, running, walking briskly, jumping rope and swimming. Gym equipment such as elliptical machines and treadmills offer cardio exercise, as do many gym classes such as step aerobics. If you have joint or back pain, opt for low-impact exercises such as swimming, walking or bicycling.daniel-shoneye1

Going for the rock-hard abs

Monitor your diet- testament to the fact that abs are made in the kitchen. Prepare your own meals. Steaming has become one of my favourite ways of cooking food. Read the labels of what you buy- you are what you eat. Minimize junk food by eating it in moderation.

Consistency is the key. Living a busy active life means I am always burning calories.

Those do’s and don’ts

Do’s: Always keep active. Stick to a routine. Incorporate new exercises regularly. Read when you can about new exercises/supplements, etc. Knowledge is power.

Dont’s: Eat out every night. Drink excessively. Live off fizzy drinks. Start and stop training -be consistent.

The benefits

1) You feel fantastic.

2) Builds your confidence

3) Results are motivating

4) Endorphins are released which are beneficial to your day to day mood

5) Get hired for amazing jobs!
