Friday nights have always been the highlight of the working week. A day where you can let your hair down and just have fun with your friends. You know, TGIF baby.

These days, we’re all stuck indoors, bored and exhausted, but you can still have a lit Friday night in your living room.

Here are a few ways to spend your Friday nights while you’re in self-quarantine.

1. Use the Houseparty App

There’s a reason everyone has been talking about this app on Twitter. It’s so really fun to use! With the Houseparty App, you can have video calls with your friends and play games at the same time. You might not be able to leave the house, but it’s nearly as good as having your buddies with you.

2. Movie night with friends

Miss hitting the cinemas with your friends? Who says you can’t host a watch party or movie night with your squad from your individual homes. There are several technologies available right now to help you stay connected and exchange bants as you catch up on your favourite shows either on DSTV, SHOWMAX or Netflix.

3. Work out

You don’t have to hit the gym to stay fit. Try downloading a workout app, and plank till you drop! When you’re done, you’ll be too tired to feel bored, anyways.

4. Try a TikTok Challenge

TikTok challenges are all the rage right now. From Toke Makinwa to Don Jazzy, and Tiwa Savage, all of your faves are living it up on TikTok. Give it a try. There are a whole lot of challenges on TikTok. Pick out your favourites, and get on it!

5. Party hard on MTV Base’s Instagram Live Party

Even with the shutdown, you can still enjoy the fun of a TGIF party with the MTV Base’s Instagram live party. Tonight for instance, DJ Sose will be taking over their Instagram Live on @MTVBASEAFRICA from 10 PM to 12 AM and you definitely don’t want to miss it.
