The ongoing Entertainment Week Lagos 2024 has had almost everyone in the entertainment space talking.
The event is an initiative of Livespot360 Foundation and since its debut in 2022, Entertainment Week Lagos has somehow grown to become the hotspot event for encourage creativity and impact.
The third edition officially began on Tuesday, 10th December, 2024 with a media tour and a launch party that featured the likes of BBNaija duo, Wanni x Handi among others.
For its second day, the theme seemed to be centered around fashion, beauty and sessions dedicated to impacting knowledge on young business owners of course, fun… It is entertainment week after all.
The day’s activities began with a workshop by Beauty Hut Africa founder, Subuola Oyeleye and it centered on Leveling Up Your Personal Brand from Mid to Mega.
She educated the attendees on what they need to level-up their brand including building the right relationship, knowledge and skills.
“Try to get involved in what is going on in your community, whether it is events or things like that. Then also, make sure your business reflects your whole value as a brand.
Subuola also emphasized that in terms of building your personal brand, you need to have a limit when it comes to oversharing.
While this was ongoing, a section for small business owners to pitch their ideas and get support was on in what was known as the Deal Room at EWL.
Next, was the fun part of Entertainment Week Lagos which involved movies, games and dancing.
A special shoutout to Robot Libo, the EWL robot that displayed some moves on the dance floor.
The fashion industry was not left out at the Entertainment Week Lagos as some brands had different items on display including hats, gowns and other outfits.
The Essenza team was next in lineup of workshop sessions and attendees were taken through different levels of the beauty industry.
First up was Rantimi Adebiyi-Olafusi a Dynamic Beauty Retail Leader who spoke on suceeding in the beauty business.
Specifying your goals, collaboration with influencers and other brands, marketing, updated skills according to trends are the best things to focus on to upscale your business according to the Beauty business expert.
Attendees of this workshop also had the opportunity to learn about their skin from the Essenza team. This included a skin expert who spoke on skin types, skin concerns and some secret tips when applying makeup and skincare.
She explained in details how to apply face creams so as not to increase aging as well as the best way to apply face serum and eye cream.
The session ended with some beauty gifts for active participants from the Essenza team and everyone had some time to rest before the runway show itself.
The Entertainment week Lagos day two ended with the Fashion Coterie that had presentations from top brands like Heineken.
The show also had the legendary Richard Mofe Damijo walk down the runway in superb style.

At the end of Day 2, it is safe to say the Entertainment Week Lagos is indeed celebrating African creativity in different sectors just as the founder Group CEO of Livespot360, Deola Art Alade has intended.
But it is also doing so in a fun and creative way by creating a dynamic experience for attendees where everyone can find something they resonate with.
