The highly anticipated Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) is set to return on November 28, 2025, with a powerhouse lineup of speakers drawn across the continent’s creative and media industries. Among those confirmed names are Yolanda Okereke, Nora Awolowo, Folu Storms, and Funmi Iyanda — each bringing unique expertise to the theme: “Powering Africa Through Creative Enterprise.”
A distinguished costume designer whose credits include House of Ga’a, Seven Doors, and Everybody Loves Jenifa, Yolanda Okereke is the founder of The Rani Company. In 2025, she became the first African costume designer to host a masterclass at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.
Nora Awolowo
At just 26 years old, Nora Awolowo has already made waves in Nollywood. She became the youngest Nigerian producer to cross the ₦100 million box office mark with her debut feature Red Circle. In addition, she’s an AMVCA-winning cinematographer with experience collaborating with Netflix, FIFA, Guinness, and Sony.
Folu Storms
Folu Storms is multi-hyphenated: actor, broadcaster, media executive, and a qualified barrister in both the U.K. and Nigeria. She is the founder of F.S. Media, which works with major brands like Tecno, YouTube, Heritage Bank, and Oando. She is an AMVCA winner with credits in Red Circle and Crime and Justice; her experience spans traditional & new media, content strategy, and brand communications.
Funmi Iyanda
A veteran broadcaster, media entrepreneur, and storyteller, Funmi Iyanda is the CEO of OYA Media and the creator of New Dawn with Funmi, Nigeria television’s longest-running independently produced show. She has been recognised on the BBC 100 Women list and by Forbes, and her work often bridges journalism, social impact, and creative innovation. At NECLive, she will help ground discussions in experience, legacy, and sustainable media models.
Registration is open via www.nec.ng. If you’re part of Africa’s creative ecosystem (or want to be), this is one conference you should not miss.
