Taraji P. Henson is engaged!
She announced the good news early Monday morning that she had said yes to her long time boyfriend Kelvin Hayden’s marriage proposal.
“I said yes y’all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!” Henson, 47, captioned a picture of her massive sparkler. “😩😩😂😂😂#sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! #GODIS 💍💋💋💋”
Taraji has kept her relationship with Hayden, who played for the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts, successfully under wrap.
She only confirmed her relationship with the football star back in December, opening up on Essence’s “Yes, Girl!” podcast about keeping her two-year relationship private for so long.
She said in the interview,
“Everything is coming together. I’m happy in my personal life. We’ve been together for two years and no one would really know that because I don’t blast my info like that but I’m very happy.”
Hayden has yet to share the news on his social media, but he posted a photo of the two of them on Valentine’s Day earlier this year.
