The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton is marking her 43rd birthday today, January 9 and her husband, the Prince of Wales has shared a sweet emotional birthday tribute to celebrate her.
Taking to social media, Prince William in a post shared a rare photo of her while referring to her as the ‘most incredible wife and mother’.
The Prince of Wales also emphasized on how the whole family is proud of Kate Middleton while wishing her a happy birthday.
“To the most incredible wife and mother,” the future king wrote on social media. “The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable.”
“George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W,” he concluded, alongside a black-and-white photo of the princess.
On their part, the royal family’s official social media accounts also wished Kate Middleton a happy birthday on social media while sharing a photo of her holding flowers during the Christmas day service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham last month.
“Happy Birthday to The Princess of Wales! ,” King Charles and Queen Camilla’s account wrote on X.
A report by New York Post also quoted King Charles’ former personal butler Grant Harrold as saying that the birthday itself will be an intimate, family-filled affair.
“I have no doubt that the King and Queen will have a dinner for her at some point either at Clarence House or Highgrove as the King is quite good at that kind of thing.”
“And William will be making sure there is a nice meal and some gifts and it will be celebrated with the children, who will of course want to celebrate with her,” Harrold said.
Kate Middleton’s birthday is coming after a difficult year she has had health-wise.
She had a particularly challenging time, having to undergo major abdominal surgery followed by the disclosure of her cancer diagnosis and the start of her treatment weeks later.
For a large part of 2024, the Princess of Wales was out of the spotlight and this was followed by many controversies about her health.
At the time, she stepped out of the limelight, focusing on completing her chemotherapy and looking after her children.
In recent months, however, she has slowly returned to Royal engagements with some public appearances such as attending the Royal Family’s Christmas Day church walk at Sandringham, where she was heartily greeted with flowers and gifts from well wishers.
