CEO of Slip Music, Mark Okraku Mantey according to reports, has threatened legal action over Sarkodie’s cover of Daasebre Gyamena’s Kokooko.

Okraku Mantey, according to Entertainmentgh.com, threatened to take Sarkodie to court for not seeking permission and approval to sample the original track, when he spoke to KMJ on Hitz 103.9FM.

Sarkodie first performed the song on December 25 last year at his Rapperholic Concert which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Both Lord Kenya and Daasebre Gyamena (who featured originally on the track) were signed to Slip Music, under which the song was released in 1999.
