Singer Khalia is making strides with her latest single, One Dance. Produced by Tony Kelly, the song features dancehall artiste I-Octane. It is currently at number two on the Manchester International Music Reggae Chart, which airs on Northern Manchester FM in the United Kingdom.

“I’m really excited that One Dance has been doing well overseas. It is also doing well in Colombia and Brazil,” Khalia told The Gleaner.

She has been promoting the song locally, performing it at two recent events – the Miss Universe Jamaica grand coronation at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel last Saturday and 100 Live on Wednesday. “‘The feedback has been good, and fans love the video for the song. The reaction on social media is amazing,” the young singer gushed.

Commenting on her performance at 100 Live, Khalia said, “‘I love that this is real live music and the audience enjoyed it. I feel blessed. At the Miss Universe Jamaica show, I had a lot of fun. I had to come out and represent. It went very well.”

Khalia emerged on the music scene last year after returning to Jamaica. Born in Westmoreland, she lived in the United Kingdom for over 10 years. Now under the guidance of noted music producer Tony Kelly of K-Licious Music, Khalia has been on the rise.

Among the songs that she has released over the past year are Ride Up, featuring Tifa; Spring Break, featuring Ghanian reggae artiste Stonebwoy; and Badda, featuring Busy Signal.
