For the second time in two years, Wizkid is taking a break from touring over health concerns.

Recall, in December 2016, his Kampala fans and organisers dragged him to court for failing to appear at a paid show. Wizkid cited health as excuse at that time.

Now, the ‘African Bad Gyal’ singer took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to apologise to fans, explaining that he needs to “get my health up” and that he will spend time with his children and family while he “recovers”.

He added a mysterious line in a now-deleted Tweet that has gotten everyone worried:

“If I die today, I die a legend.”

He then went further;

“Sad I’m typing this but I’ll be moving dates on my tour to get my health up. I appeal to my real fans to understand nd pray with me,”

“I’ll be spending time with my son’s nd family while I recover.”

Wizkid said the rescheduled dates for cancelled shows will be announced to his fans and that his next performance will be in London on September 29.

“My next appearance will be in London 29th sept. Apologies to everyone affected by this. New dates for cancelled shows soon,” he wrote.

Wizkid also apologised for his absence at the Made In America festival on Sunday. Tiwa Savage performed at the festival which was headlined by Jay-Z, J. Cole and The Chainsmokers.

“Apologies to my fans in philly! Missed made in america yesterday but will make it up in a major way,” the singer tweeted.
