Africa’s Shut Down king DJ Mic Smith thrilled the hundreds of Ugandans who trooped to the Lugogo Cricket Oval to watch live performances from Nigerian born singers, Mr. Eazi, Tekno and many others.

Even though several popular artists were lined on the bill, the concert also had much to do with the ability of the djs to keep the crowd alive and warmed up for the long night. Michael Owusu-Smith known in entertainment circles as DJ Mic Smith stood out of the pack as he kept Ugandans on their feet. The DJ for Nigerian Singer Mr. Eazi, on the night brought to bear experiences garnered from keeping club goers up for hours in different night clubs in Ghana like Twist(the Biggest in Ghana), Mints, Reggies Office and many others.

After performing more than 3hours with MrEazi, The Shut Down King served music lovers a potpourri of music from different parts of the world to keep the concert going.

Mic Smith’s who is also a big brand on Y 107.9Fm has shown dominance of in musical industry in Africa with some buzzing songs to his credit. The Shutdown King knows what to serve and what time to serve it. Born Michael Owusu-Smith, his dexterity on stage and ability to get his audience to move along with him when he is on stage has also become a major talking point.

So when Mic Smith stepped on the well-lit stage in the East African Country, it was not about expectations anymore as he raptured revellers into a state of hilarity. Music is food for the soul and the DJ who has had stints with top acts like Stonebwouy, runtown, Reggie Rock Stone and EL proved to be the master chef of that soul food after getting the crowd to bounce along to the countless hits blaring out of the line-array speakers

For organisers of the programme Talent Africa, they got their money’s worth as the award winning DJ proved that music transcends boundaries . For the thousands of Ugandans who witnessed Mic Smith on stage, the songs he dished out will continue to reverberate in their minds.
