Award winning Entrepreneur, Author and Speaker, Ekow Mensah, who is also the founder of Torch Bearers’ Africa, has successfully hosted the second edition of his annual signature event, Igniting Dreams Conference at British Council, Accra on the 21st of April, 2018.

The Conference which he launched in 2017 in celebration of his birthday, is aimed at inspiring, empowering and supporting participants to identify their dreams, clarify their goals and develop a concrete strategy to pursue those dreams, talents and ambitions. This year’s event witnessed the launch of his maiden book titled; ‘Your Dreams Matter’.

In supporting young people to discover, shape and pursue their dreams, talents, potentials and ideas beyond paying lip service and giving empowering speeches, Ekow also launched the Igniting Dreams Fund (IDF); a 2 million cedis worth fund to be raised from proceeds from selling 100,000 copies of his book and also inaugurated the Igniting Dreams Fund Board to oversee the setting up and management of the fund.

Participants of the conference, made up of hundreds of youth, had a lot of praise for Ekow Mensah for taking a bold step to dedicate his life to empowering, coaching and supporting the youth to relentlessly pursue their dreams and stay committed to doing their best as part of their contribution to nation building.

The program saw the massive signup from participants to join the Torch Bearers’ Network, a group founded by Ekow Mensah and dedicated to grooming the youth to become Skilful, Entrepreneurial and Proactive with each member having a mandate to transfer the knowledge and experience acquired in the 12 months of training to their own cohort of other 12 individuals.

Other speakers at the conference included Theodore Abiwu, winner of the 2017 Emerging Speakers’ Challenge, Renowned Authors Nelson Semanu Korkor and Elizabeth Boandoh, Ajo Founder and CEO Priscilla Kortsu Ajo, Head of Marketing & Corporate Affairs at FNB Delali Dzidzienyo, CEO of Zenfusion Munnira Sheikh, Winner of KNUST Student Entrepreneur of the year 2018 Jasmine Adjei, Head of Marketing & Entrepreneur Daniel Afari and Distinguished Publisher Saviour Agobah with spoken word and comedy from Great Poetry Clan, Charles Boateng and MC Hungry Man respectively.
